India’s PM Narendra Modi Congratulates Skyroot Aerospace as its Vikram-S Rocket Makes History

Hydrabad, India based Skyroot launched its , a suborbital launch vehicle, from  the sounding rocket launch complex at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota (India).

The launch was accomplished successfully on November 18, 2022, at 11:30 am IST. It marks the first launch of a rocket built by a private company in India. The mission was authorized by IN-SPACe.

Meeting its flight parameters, the launcher reached an altitude of about 89.5 km in 155 seconds. The sounding rocket carried three payloads.

The company received many congratulations and well wishes from politicians and celebrities.

Prime Minister , who was especially responsible for stimulating the Indian aerospace sector, tweeted its congratulations shortly after launch.

Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh and Chairman of IN-SPACe congratulated Skyroot for the accomplishment and thanked for the able support provided.

Indian superstar Ambitabh Bachchan also showed his support and pride.
