Lake St. Moritz at your feet, majestic mountain peaks, glistening white forests – like something out of a picture book. The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz awakens from its summer sleep and welcomes its guests again from December 12, 2022.

During this season, guests' gaze will not only wander into nature from the sun terrace or from the large room windows, the breathtaking nature of the Engadine can also be viewed in the majestic Empire Ballroom.

From December 2022 to the end of February 2023, the Moving Mountains photo exhibition will be located there. The exhibition features expressive landscape photographs by renowned photographer Robert Bösch.

On display is an exquisite selection of photographs and images from the Moving Mountains photo book of the same name. This is a joint project of the hearts of Dr. Götz Bechtolsheimer, third generation of the owner family of The Tschuggen Collection, and Robert Bösch, former extreme mountaineer, geographer and professional photographer for almost 40 years.

The Engadine has a special meaning for Robert Bösch. It is a place of coming home that exudes a certain fascination every time. But it is not the obvious beauty of the Engadine mountains that has interested photographer Robert Bösch. For him, photography must go beyond the beauty that can be seen with the naked eye.

In his search for something new, he used his camera to discover new things that he had known for a long time but had not yet seen in this way. Through his chosen detail and moment, Robert Bösch creates expressive photographs, with motifs that often do not jump directly at you.

In the winter season 2022/2023 the original photographs of the Moving Mountains photo book will be exhibited in a ‘traveling exhibition' in the three five-star hotels of the Tschuggen Collection for all guests and art lovers.

Depending on the current venue, the different regions are taken into account and a mix of black and white pictures and color pictures in different sizes are presented. The exhibition kicked off at Casa Epper in the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona. After the current stop at the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz (December 2022 to mid-February 2023), the photographs will on to Arosa at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel (February to April 2023).
